GYM COMMUNITY EVENT!

FWD/ FITNESS IS PROUD TO SPONSOR THE WESTCHESTER RIVER FOUNDATION'S 'BRONX RIVER BLITZ'.

On Saturday 19th March we will be heading to the Bronx River Reservation to clear all 13 miles of its pathways from trash!

This is a charity led event is to welcome the spring season and will be the first time the entire Bronx River Reservation pathway will be cleaned in one day.

The Bronx River Reservation is home to native plants and extraordinary wildlife. By removing litter, we will improve the ecology and health of this important habitat.

The clear-up will be a competition. Each team will be assigned a segment of the pathway and at the end of the clean-up the litter will be weighed with prizes for the team that collects the most.

All supplies will be provided but please bring your own water. Volunteers should wear clothes that can get dirty and comfortable closed toe shoes.

If you would like to join our team speak to COACH ALEX at the gym, or email alex@fwd-fit.com to do good for your health and our planet.

Westchester Parks Foundation engages the public to advocate for and invest in the preservation, conservation, use, and enjoyment of the 18,000 acres of parks, trails, and open spaces within the Westchester County Parks system.
