THIS WEEK AT THE GYM METCON: W/C 12/27



Man oh man, filling out 2021 with a banger of a week. Athletes in METCON will be hitting some heavy deadlifts, some bench press, and some heavy thrusters for some strength, as well as some gymnastic work. For the workouts, we’ll have a sneaky repeat workout that most love to hate (cough cough, Fran) but the WOW has also got to to NYE’s workout, “Resolution”

Aptly named Resolution, you’ll definitely need a hefty dose of some mental resolution to get through this one. It’s all about the clean. Starting with some hang power cleans, then full power cleans, then heavier power cleans, then finally squat cleans. Choose a loading that challenges you, but can maintain sound mechanics, even under heavy fatigue. Cheers to 2022!
