THIS WEEK AT THE GYM: NCX


The last 8 weeks strength cycle has culminated to this...lets get that PR bell ready!!

NCX’ers will be attempting a new 5-rep max in their Power Clean, Push Press, Back Squat, and Deadlift.

As always, safety and technique comes before ego, and even if we do everything correct we may not improve those 5-rep numbers - and that’s okay. If you are moving pain free with good technique, and better range of motion THAT IS PROGRESS.

For the workouts, we’ve got a beautiful well rounded week ahead hitting some NCFLEX vibe finishers, high intensity intervals, and a little extra attention to the core.

The WOW is without a doubt Friday’s Benchmark SUPERSONIC:

20 ROUNDS FOR TIME
1 Power Clean (205/145)
2 Box Jump Overs (24/20)
3 Chest to Bar Pull-Ups
(Score is Time)

Twenty rounds, I repeat, T W E N T Y rounds, but very short reps per round.

Biggest challenge will be getting the correct weight on that Power Clean for YOU.

Workout weight is mod-heavy but being able to walk up, do the work, and walk away - you need to move it, never stuck at one station for longer than 15 seconds.
