What a week we have in store...GET PSYCED, cause our Strength cycle is in the back half - hitting week 6 of 9 in our Back Squat, Push Press, Deadlift and Power Clean.
This coming week athletes will get after wave loading sets of 6, 4, 2, 6, 4, 2 with a similar theme of the 2nd wave being heavier than the first.
Also we’ll be stepping outside of that usual Moderate-Heavy loading, instead we'll be building to a Heavy weight - that’s only if proper technique and form is still intact.
Workouts will be sticking with that sweet spot of 13-18 minutes, still building that engine - but with a couple new movements to keep our body adapting to new stimuli.
For the WOW, I love starting the week with a bang so check out Monday’s Benchmark “Almighty Push”
15 Shoulder to Overhead (115/75)
50 Double Unders
5 Box Jumps (30/24)|(24/20)*
*Must step down from the box every rep, every round.
10 Shoulder to Overhead (155/105)
75 Double Unders
10 Box Jumps
5 Shoulder to Overhead (185/135)
100 Double Unders
15 Box Jumps
(Score is Total Time)
Very fun and challenging workout for sure.
The total rounds goes down for each part, but the weight and volume of reps changes as well.
Pacing is key for sure since each one of these movements compounds the difficulty of the others! 2 minute break in between isn’t going to be enough to fully recover, so save some energy in the tank for the last round!
