THIS WEEK AT THE GYM: W/C 11/14

THIS WEEK AT THE GYM: Last week we finished our 9-Week Olympic strength cycle, retesting our 1-Rep heavy front squat, snatch, and clean & jerk.

Everyone at the gym has been working consistently with these lifts, so it was awesome to see it all pay off with some big time PR’s!

We will now be transitioning into more of a traditional GPP style program were we will still be pushing, pulling, hinging, and squatting but not in a structured strength cycle as we have been.

This week’s lifts we will be getting back to the basics; tempo back squats, dead stop deadlifts, and bench pressing, but Sunday brings a handy snatch complex of 1 power snatch + 2 hang power snatches for you to get you teeth into.

The workout of the week is undoubtedly Friday, November 11th Veteran’s Day Hero Workout: Helton

Three Rounds for Time:
800M Run
30 DB Squat Cleans (50/35)
30 Burpees
Goal Time: 37-39 Minutes
Time Cap: 45 Minutes

Hero Workouts are performed in honor of our fallen military, firefighters, and police heroes who’ve made the ultimate sacrifice.

This workout is in memory of U.S. Air Force Security Forces 1st Lt. Joseph D. Helton. It’s a long grind that’ll tax the legs, lungs and mental fortitude.

There are special class times on Veteran’s Day - don’t forget to reserve your classes via PushPress.
