THIS WEK AT THE GYM: NCX W/C 3/14

Athletes in NCX are still enjoying a “vacation” from a regimented Strength cycle, but still getting after some Strength lifts in almost every way imaginable.

Breaking free from the structured, rigid cycle we were in allows us to experiment and work on some unconventional movements, like Rotational and Anti-rotational lifts/holds, Unilateral lifts and holds, Strict Gymnastics, and address lagging imbalances.

This coming weeks workouts will be slightly longer our usual 12-15 minute realm, so be fueled and ready to go the extra mile!

For the WOW, check out Fridays BEAST of a workout:

FOR TIME
100m Run
5 Deadlifts (225/155)
10 Bar Facing Up-Down
200m Run
10 Deadlifts
15 Bar Facing Up-Down
400m Run
15 Deadlifts
20 Bar Facing Up-Down
800m Run
20 Deadlifts
25 Bar Facing Up-Down

YIKES! I’ll state the obvious with this one - pace and scale accordingly! This is a Moderate weight deadlift, but coupled with the cumulative core and hamstring fatigue from the run and bar-facing up-downs, it’ll feel much heavier towards the end!

Be sure to Breathe and Brace!
